British Regulator ICSTIS presents 11th Edition of Code of Practice
The most important additions and amendments to the 11th Code include:
- the ability of ICSTIS to take action directly against the Information Provider
- new provisions covering subscription services
- new provisions on pricing information
- the definition of a network operator
- express provisions relating to text chat service
- network operators’ due diligence requirements
- the ability to impose sanctions against network operators for non-compliance
- the introduction of an administration fee for prior permission applicants
- exemptions for classes of service that require prior permission
